TECHNOLOGY

Each MLQ process server utilizes a smart phone to capture the photo of the servee property, GPS coordinate of that photo, and date and time stamp etched on the photo itself. In addition, the process server inputs all service information from the property including service results and physical description of servee. That information is organized per job order and becomes immediately available to our clients through the MLQ client web interface.

As a result of alleged “gutter serves” in the state of New York, process servers have been under the spotlight of state attorneys general across the country. Recognizing the liability and negative press that can flow from unscrupulous service practices, MLQ has enhanced technology to prove the validity of service attempts.

MLQ also offers an audio recording of every service attempt attached to each job in those states that allow for one way recording. Currently 38 out of the 50 states allow one way recording. The recordings offer several benefits to MLQ clients:

• If a servee or a servee’s attorney files a motion to quash service, MLQ can provide audio proof of what transpired at the door
• Although the vast majority of process servers are honest, it only takes one server to cause enormous damage. When a server knows that he/she is being recorded, the incentive for fraud is greatly diminished
• When a MLQ process server indicates a property is vacant, the server is required to shoot a video that provides demonstrative evidence to the client that the property is vacant.

MLQ will customize a program for your firm that can include the filing of suits and garnishments, service, and filing of affidavits of service with the courts. MLQ also offers .csv file exports and an interface to popular collection software that removes the need for law firm manual data entry.
